Kaudulla National Park, in historic Galoya, is the third vital link in the region’s famous elephant migration corridor.

Kaudulla National Park is one of the most beautiful wildlife destinations in Sri Lanka, famous for its large gatherings of wild elephants and rich natural biodiversity. Established in 2002, the park forms part of an important elephant migration corridor together with nearby parks such as Minneriya National Park and Hurulu Eco Park. During the dry season, visitors can witness herds of elephants gathering around the Kaudulla Reservoir, creating an unforgettable safari experience.

The park features a diverse landscape of grasslands, forests, wetlands, and water reservoirs that support a wide variety of wildlife. In addition to elephants, Kaudulla is home to deer, wild boar, monkeys, crocodiles, and many species of colorful birds, making it a paradise for wildlife enthusiasts and bird watchers. Jeep safaris allow travelers to explore the park closely while enjoying the peaceful beauty of Sri Lanka’s wilderness.
